Dr. Ruben Borrero, DMD, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but grew up on a farm in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 1970 with Bachelor in Science and later went to the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dentistry, Medical Science Campus, where he graduated in 1974 as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry(DMD). Dr. R. Borrero was an Assistant Professor in the Surgical Science Division Department of Periodontics as a Clinician and a Lecturer from 1974 to 1978. Has been the President of District A Local State Society from 1980 to 1985, Member of Prepaid Dental Plans Committee of Local State Society from 1985 to 1990, Member of the Board of Directors of The Delta Dental Plan of Puerto Rico from 1990 to 1995, Chairman of Fee Verification Procedures of Delta Dental Plan of Puerto Rico from 1993 to 1994, and Chairman of Board of Directors of Delta Dental Plan of Puerto Rico from 1994 to 1995. Practiced in Puerto Rico from 1974 to 2006 and at Family Dentistry and Dental Specialist Group from 2006 to present. Dr. Ruben Borrero has over 35 years of experience in performing all procedures from general exams to fillings, bonding, bleaching, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, bone grafting, implants, surgeries, laser surgery, dentures and partials. Dr. Borrero is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Borrero has five children of all ages and a grandchild on the way. He and his wife enjoy spending time together with their family.
